Is CBD categorized as a drug?

CBD is very new to the marketplace and its classification could change at anytime.  Currently, it is not classified as a drug although CBD is an ingredient in the drug Epidiolex which is used to treat seizures.  At the present time, CBD is not FDA approved to treat, cure, diagnose, or prevent any condition.

Is CBD legal in the United States?

However, CBD oil that’s made from marijuana, with high levels of THC, can only be purchased in states with programs for medical marijuana by holders of medical marijuana cards.
